Highland Park Country Club

Was anyone aware we were choosing Sunset golf course over Highland Park Country Club? Before this jewel is closed permanently, I hope that the board reconsiders the amount of revenue that will be lost by not having a facility like the Country Club, perhaps deferring the closing until a replacement facility can be budgeted for and built. It may also be helpful to have greater public engagement, as it is not clear that the public was aware of this decision in enough time to contribute their perspective.

Affordability

Let's make programs more affordable for the less affluent, and for the elderly. Anyone owning and residing in a residence that is significantly below the average appraised value in the city, or who is eligible for a senior exemption, should automatically be eligible for a reduction in the cost of Park District programs.
